Plas Teg, WrexhamThe 16th Century Jacobean mansion Plas Teg - said to be one of Wales' most haunted houses - is a very popular building with various paranormal groups and overnight vigils. Yvette Fielding from MOST HAUNTED even took the pop group Girls Aloud for a ghost hunt there during the making of the program GHOST HUNTING WITH GIRLS ALOUD. Yvette's other show, MOST HAUNTED LIVE, has also conducted an investigation at the Plas Teg residence. Apart from being a residence to important personages in history, Plas Teg was also reputed to be used as a local court, were people would be tried and convicted of often trivial crimes, and it is believed that some were even hanged there, although there has been no real historical evidence to corroborate this claim. It is also reported to have been a sanatorium during another period in history. The building has also played host to soldiers in World War Two. Mark Baker has written a very interesting book about the old mansion entitled Plas Teg - A Jacobean Country House. Built by Sir John Trevor I in about 1610, Plas Teg, situated deep in the Welsh countryside, is said to have around 15 ghosts.
