A HAUNTING is truly one of the best paranormal shows ever made - if not THE best. Every single true-life case of ghostly activity and demonic disturbances experienced by ordinary people is wonderfully documented on this special 8-dvd boxed set, and I guarantee that at times you will find yourself wanting to hide behind the sofa at the sheer horror of some of the scenes depicted in these episodes!

Each case of paranormal activity is presented brilliantly, with various actors playing the parts of the actual people who witnessed the hauntings. The acting is good and the combination of the real life witnesses with reconstructions gives the programmes quite a unique - and immensely enjoyable - quality.

The series features many traditional hauntings, demonic attacks, possessions, and cryptic visions. The series covers incidents from various locations across the United States, as well as four episodes that were set in Canada, England, Ireland, and Taiwan. Episodes may be set in houses, apartments, farms, commercial areas, and even vast outdoor regions.

A good example of the kind of stories you will see here is the case of Karen and Ed Parker, who rent a rambling old house in Connecticut so they can be near the hospital where their 14 year old son Paul is being treated for cancer. When they first move in, they notice crucifixes hanging over the doorways and find the basement room filled with head tags, toe tags, coffin keys and religious medals. Only then do they realise the house is an old funeral parlour. Although they withhold this information from their children, Paul makes an ominous announcement: we have to leave her... This house is evil.

I would highly recommend A HAUNTING to anybody who loves true-life cases of ghosts and hauntings.
